Tristan Claridge

Tristan Claridge has over 20 years of experience researching and applying social capital across various contexts. As a geographer and environmental scientist, he is deeply committed to sustainable development and poverty alleviation. Tristan serves as the Director of the Institute for Social Capital, an independent research, consulting, and training organisation that collaborates with governments, non-governmental organisations, community-based groups, charities, and corporations to enhance the effective use of social capital. His work is focused on empowering researchers and practitioners to better understand and apply the concept. Since 2017, he has played a pivotal role in establishing a community of practice, which has grown into the International Social Capital Association. Driven by his belief in the power of discourse and collaboration, Tristan continues to work towards advancing social capital theory and practice globally.
